As graduates from Mount Royal University’s Bachelor of Interior Design program, Courtney, Genevieve, & Lowell have their own unique skill sets, based on the same foundation; fundamentals of good design. These three designers collaborate to produce not only unique, textural, beautiful designs but the means by which the designs are translated to the client is essentially art.
By blending and balancing their strengths, the team bring the highest creativity and rich design to each project.
Their superpowers are used outside of business too, helping plan the industry's largest fundraising event every year, "Primarily it's a Party". 2017 will be the 6th year they've helped plan this 500+ person event.
Courtney is the team's technical genius complete with NCIDQ and LEED certifications. She can whip together a construction set like nobody’s business and has managed huge projects with companies like Stantec, Alberta Health Services, and Cadillac Fairview. Courtney also takes care of all the firm's technical needs, solving problems like only a 'natural' can. With a career covering commercial, residential, healthcare, and retail design, Courtney thrives when jobs get complicated. No job is too big to tackle and nothing is too new to learn about. The more moving parts, the better!
Genevieve, the business brain, began her career in commercial design but after a year, knew that residential design was where she belonged. She worked for a production builder for 3 years learning the ins and outs of new home construction before moving on to designing large custom homes for City Core Developments. Having completed more than 400 homes, Genevieve is an expert in developing functional design solutions for her clients. The thrill of the chase keeps Genevieve motivated to work on business development, always finding new avenues to explore. Genevieve is the dreamer!
As the team’s creative mind and graphic and rendering specialist, Lowell has spent his entire post graduate career designing large custom homes while working on other creative projects like full length feature films right here in Calgary. Even when he was a junior designer, Lowell expertly juggled more projects at once than most designers handle in a year. Lowell also shares his ever-evolving knowledge with upcoming graduates as a sessional instructor at the Mount Royal University Interior Design program. Lowell’s personality is evidenced by his photo – professional demeanor, great sense of humor.
